Great Britain launched a new program to support innovative ideas of Ukrainian researchers – the Innovate Ukraine Green Energy Challenge Fund.
The fund announced the first competition «Innovate Ukraine – supporting the energy recovery of Ukraine, within the framework of which £10 million was allocated in the form of grants for innovative green energy ideas that can support the sustainability, recovery and reconstruction of Ukraine.
Businesses, research institutions, charities and non-governmental organizations from Ukraine and other countries can now apply for funding for projects worth between £50,000 and £2 million.
Applications must:
- focus on the specific needs of Ukraine’s energy recovery;
- use an innovative technology, idea and/or business model that is low-carbon, affordable and safe;
- support the energy sustainability of Ukrainian communities suffering from a lack of energy capacity.
Project duration: March 2024 – March 2026.
The deadline for application submission is September 8, 2023.
