The Department of Sociology and Social Work joined the implementation of the project Lviv Polytechnic Art Space. The primary task is to collect information from potential users on the organization and territory design. During the project implementation, academic staff and students will realize their professional competencies related to social work.
«It is good that at the stage of forming the project concept our Department has the opportunity to join its implementation and make proposals for the needs of low-mobility groups, including people with special educational needs. This will bring the community together, involve different stakeholders, and increase the number of people who will use the area. It is worth noting that these are new opportunities for the University», says Liliia Klos, Head of the Department.
Not all universities are adapted to such challenges, but Polytechnic is actively developing as for a long time it has been training students with disabilities. Therefore, during the project development the Department of Sociology and Social Work will help to adapt this area for people with disabilities, which in the long run may increase the number of entrants who value comfortable and safe space of the future university.
