At the invitation of Bohdan Raichynets, President of the European Congress of Ukrainians (ECU) and Chairman of the Ukrainian Initiative in the Czech Republic, the team of the International Institute of Education, Culture and Diaspora Relations, Lviv Polytechnic National University, consisting of Iryna Klyuchkovska, Director, Oksana Piatkovska and Andrii Yatsiv, Deputy Directors, as well as Yurii Marusyk, Research Fellow, visited Prague. The visit took place within the framework of the European Values project, which is being implemented with the support of the ECU and the organization "Ukrainian Initiative in the Czech Republic".
The purpose of the trip was the participation of the IECDR in the discussion and implementation of the Smart Migration project, as well as a deeper acquaintance with the migration policy of the Czech Republic in the field of national minorities, including Ukrainian, and with the structure of state and local authorities responsible for implementing this policy in Prague. This was made possible by a series of meetings with management and representatives of relevant structures, which took place on November 2-3, 2021.
According to IECDR representatives, the experience of the Czech Republic and Prague, in particular, may be interesting for Ukraine in general and Lviv region and the city of Lviv, in particular.
