On 15 November, the «Bright People» gratitude evening, organised by the Pershyi Zakhidnyi TV and Radio Company, took place in the Officers’ House in Lviv. The event was dedicated to the Day of Radio, Television and Communication Workers to express gratitude to those who make Ukraine’s victory closer every day.
The military, veterans, volunteers, medics, rescuers, power engineers, as well as the heroes of Pershyi Zakhidnyi programs attended the event. They were presented with the Bright Heart of Gratitude awards.
According to Maksym Kozytskyi, Head of the Lviv Regional Military Administration, this is the second time that Pershyi Zakhidnyi celebrated the professionals’ day of all radio and television broadcasters in a special way: by expressing gratitude to people who, in difficult times for our country, do special things and become a light to others.
This time, among the real people of action, who received Bright Hearts of Gratitude, there is Oksana Potymko, the supporter of volunteer initiatives for the blind.
Oksana Potymko is a public activist who has dedicated her life to helping people with visual impairments. She is the Head of the Resource Center for Educational Information Technology for Persons with Disabilities, Lviv Polytechnic National University. One of Oksana’s main goals is to create an inclusive environment in Lviv that is convenient for everyone, regardless of their physical abilities. She develops programs that make life of people with visual impairments easier and helps to increase their independence and social activity.
«The Gratitude Evening is a reminder that heroes are among us, and thanks to their daily deeds, our country is confidently moving towards victory», said Olha Tsap, Director of the Pershyi Zakhidnyi TV and Radio Company.
The evening was a tribute of respect, inspiration and gratitude to all those who keep Ukraine on the path to freedom and peace.
