On April 26 and 28, 2023, as part of the European Studies for Technical Specialties (EUSTS) project at Lviv Polytechnic National University, supported by the EU Erasmus+ Jean Monnet program, Green Deal Euro Day was successfully held at the Sykhivsky Lyceum and the Lviv Academic Gymnasium.
The event was attended by 170 students from two educational institutions, students in grades 5, 10, and 9.
The project team introduced the children to the European Green Deal and talked about key areas such as clean energy, climate action, construction and renovation, sustainable industry, sustainable mobility, reducing environmental pollution, biodiversity, and sustainable agricultural policy.
They also talked to the students about pollution and eco-friendly living and, in a playful way, identified the most eco-conscious and eco-aware students, who received incentive prizes.
The EUSTS project team would like to express its sincere gratitude to the management of the Sykhivsky Lyceum, in particular Ivan Yaroslavovych Uhnitsky, the director of the Lviv Academic Gymnasium, Larysa Ihorivna Yukhman, and the class teachers for their assistance in organizing the event.
