The largest event for students on career development in IT– IT Future Fest 2025 – took place in Lviv on April 11, 2025. It was attended by employees and students of Lviv Polytechnic, as well as future applicants to our university – high school students from almost all schools in the Lviv region and the representatives of IT employer companies.
7,000 participants attended the event, organized by the Lviv IT Cluster. There were 40+ stands of IT companies and 7 stands of universities. At this event, students had the opportunity to learn a lot about the prospects of the technological sphere and the secrets of building a successful career. The speakers generally talked about where to enter and what specialties to choose.
The event provided a unique opportunity for students to gain practical experience – learn about internship programs that will help take the first steps in IT. At the event, you could:
- learn about current trends in IT for the next 10 years – get an understanding of which professions will be most in demand;
- get advice on working in IT – potential employers talked about career opportunities and taught how to write a resume that will attract attention;
- talk to students majoring in IT– get real experience from those who are already studying IT at universities;
- look at university stands and their programs – understand which institutions train specialists of the future and what they offer.

Lviv Polytechnic became an active participant in the event and presented its stand. Among the participants of the event there were representatives of the Institute of Computer Science and Information Technologies, the Institute of Computer Technologies, Automation and Metrology, the Department of Employment and Industrial Relations, as well as the University Career Guidance Center.
Polytechnicians conducted active career guidance work, informing students about the University’s IT majors. Also they had the opportunity to tell students in more detail about the IT programs that the Lviv IT Cluster supports at our university (by the way, this year at the IT Future Fest, the cluster announced support for several new IT areas), as well as establish and enhance cooperation with IT companies.
Students and potential applicants of Lviv Polytechnic actively participated in various workshops and lectures from leading IT specialists, including:
- discussions on the state and prospects of the industry from leading specialists – on the main stage,
- workshops, quests, quizzes, career consultations, quick interviews, resume review sessions and much more – in the career zone,
- communications with university representatives and learned about admission requirements – in the university zone;
- visits to company stands for presentations of projects, career opportunities and corporate culture – in the EXPO zone.
