The admission campaign is still ongoing, but already now entrants to Lviv Polytechnic have submitted more applications than last year – for both bachelor’s and master’s degrees.
– Lviv Polytechnic is fifth by the number of applications submitted to higher education institutions in Ukraine. We are now waiting for recommendations from the Unified State Electronic Database on Education (EDEBO). On July 28 we will have a list of entrants by surnames recommended for the government-funded places. As for entrants on the basis of a junior specialist diploma, the other day they passed an exam and after the publication of the results, those who need it would be able to file appeals. After that, the lists of recommended students will be published, says the executive secretary of the Lviv Polytechnic Admissions Committee Mykhailo Honchar.
Also these days there is an admission campaign to the master’s degree. The exams are held for three days: July 26, 28 and 30. And on August 1, the results and recommendations for the government-funded places and contract study will be announced.
This year, entrants will be able to submit original documents in any convenient way for them – to bring in person, send by post or e-mail with a digital signature.
– It should be noted that a lot of entrants with high results of external examinations apply to Lviv Polytechnic. For almost every specialty in top positions, we have 20–30 applications from those who got 200 points at EIT, said Mykhailo Honchar.
This year eight entrants from the occupied territories entered our University through the Educational Center «Crimea – Ukraine».
– We have the most applications for the following educational programs: Marketing, Management, Software Engineering, Computer Science, Philology, Cybersecurity, Computer Engineering, Law and Journalism. There is a very big competition, says the executive secretary of the Polytechnic Admissions Committee. – This year Lviv Polytechnic will have more government-funded places. For the master’s program we have already received 116 more places than last year. We also expect an increase in government-funded places for the bachelor’s degree.
On August 9, it will be known who submitted all the necessary documents for the government-funded form of study, and the results of the admission campaign to the contract form of study will be announced on August 16. There will also be an additional enrollment in September.
