From October 30 to November 10, 2023, as part of the annual “ECOWeekend” event at “Lviv Polytechnic” National University, “E-Marketing” project creative team, as part of "Dissemination of EU practices through e-marketing, conscious consumption, circular economy, resource efficiency" project implementation under the Erasmus+ Program directed by Jean Monnet Module, participated in the activities organization and implementation. Teachers Oksana Dovhun, Taisiia Nakonechna, and Nataliia Mashchak developed and popularized recommendations on conscious consumption through the department's social networks (Facebook and Instagram) and the university's website. The main goal was to raise the awareness of teachers and students on the leading a conscious lifestyle subject, following the principles: "quality, not quantity"; "buy local"; supporting brands with an emphasis on sustainability; avoid excessive packaging; upcycle approach.
As part of "ECOweekend", Nataliia Mashchak conducted a simulation game on the international climate negotiations "Keep Cool" for bachelor qualification level students of higher education. The game purpose was to teach students how to make optimal decisions as a team in order to minimize the negative impact on the environment, to achieve a common goal - to determine the "golden mean" between economic success and environmental protection, to apply EU principles aimed at ensuring the ecological needs of its population, rational use, protection and reproduction natural resources and support of environmental security. Acting as mayors of world megacities, students learned how to build an efficient economy that would not harm the environment and prevent global warming of 2C in 100 years.
Erasmus+ is a program of international cooperation between the European Union with other countries in the world in the field of education, youth and sports, which aims to support educational, professional and personal development , for the development of innovation and strengthening of European identity and active citizenship. The program supports the possibilities of educational and academic mobility in education and for youth, projects and partnerships and development of strategies and cooperation.
