This year, 34,655 students got enrolled to the institutions of higher education that train IT specialists: 14,956 – to the government-funded places and 19,699 – to the contract education. The National Technical University of Ukraine «Ihor Sikorskyi Kyiv Polytechnic Institute» accepted the largest number of entrants – 2,734 people, 2,164 of which for the government-funded places. In second place there is Lviv Polytechnic National University, which enrolled 2,180 people (1,375 for the government-funded places).
According to the data of the Unified State Electronic Database on Education (USEDE), which was analyzed by the website of the DOU programmer community, top ten among Ukrainian higher education institutions by the number of entrants to IT specialties are the following:

As it can be seen from the table, some universities occupy higher positions in the ranking by the number of entrants, but at the same time they could have smaller number of enrolled students.
So this year, the National Technical University of Ukraine «Ihor Sikorskyi Kyiv Polytechnic Institute» (2,734 students), Lviv Polytechnic National University (2,180), the State University of Information and Communication Technologies (1,790), Kharkiv National University of Radio Electronics (1344), National Aviation University (1025) and Taras Shevchenko National University of Kyiv (960) enrolled the largest number of first-year IT students.
