The international activity of the department is aimed at integrating educational services and scientific potential into the international university community, obtaining additional opportunities for comprehensive development.
International educational activity
Since 2019, part of the staff of the department has performed a large-scale educational project – J.Monnet Module with the support of the EU Erasmus+ Program "EU competitiveness boosting: circular economy" (610641-EPP-1-2019-1-UA-EPPJMO-MODULE) (CirclE). Grant agreement number: № 2019-1763 / 001-001. Implementation period: 3 years (September 2019 – October 2022).
The aim of this multidisciplinary project is to develop Euro-oriented research related to the economy through the introduction of two new courses "EU Competitiveness: Diagnosis and Strategy", "Circular Economy: EU Policy on Sustainable Development and Competitiveness" and a set of relevant studies and events. Project team: Kuzmin O.E. – Doctor of Economics, Director of the Institute of Economics and Management; Melnyk O.G. – Doctor of Economics, Head of the department; Horbal N.I. – PhD, Assoc. professor of the department; Ruda M.V. – PhD, Assoc. professor of the department; Adamiv M.Y. – PhD, Assoc. professor of the department.
The department also participates in the implementation of Erasmus+ KA2 grants "Implementation of Education Quality Assurance system through the cooperation of University-Business-Government in HEIs" (2017-2020) and "Structuring Cooperation in Doctoral Research, Transferable Skills Training, and Academic Writing Instruction in Ukraine's Regions» (2016-2019), as well as J.Monnet Module of the Erasmus+ «EU Eastern Partnership Initiative: Opportunities for Ukraine».
Teachers of the department actively participate in international educational projects/internships, in particular in the framework of the Erasmus+ program.
Every year, some of the master's students of the department are trained in double degree programs of the department in partner universities in Poland, particularly at the S. Staszyc Mining and Metallurgical Academy in Krakow.
In 2016-2017, the department took part in an international project – a team training competition "Diamond BootCamp 2016", with the support of "Diamond FMS" (Netherlands). Four winners, three of whom were students of our department, did internships in leading companies in the Netherlands for three months in 2017.

International scientific activity of the department includes international scientific internships of teachers and scientific works in authoritative international publications, and presentations at international conferences.
