An interactive event – a simulation game «World of Communities» will be held as part of the project «European studies for students of technical specialties at Lviv Polytechnic National University» (EUSTS) with the support of the EU Erasmus+ programme, Jean Monnet Actions, on October 6, 2022. The event is organized under the leadership of the EUSTS project coordinator, Professor Yaryna Turchyn.
During the event, participants will learn about the regional policy and experience of decentralization of the European Union countries, the content, results and opportunities of EU programs to support decentralization reform and community development in Ukraine. The practical part will be aimed at forming students’ skills in effective management of territorial communities, in particular through the involvement of European programs and implementation of best practices of EU member states.
The practical part of the event will be conducted by EUSTS project participants Associate Professor Nataliia Vovk (Department of Social Communication and Information Activities) and Associate Professor Oleksandr Markovets (Department of Social Communication and Information Activities). Associate Professor Olha Ivasechko (PSIR Department), Associate Professor Oleh Tsebenko (PSIR Department), Senior Lecturer Iryna Sukhorolska (Department of Political Science and International Relations), Assistant Khrystyna Zabavska (PSIR Department) and Associate Professor Lidiia Kasha (Department of Electromechatronics and Computerized Electromechanical Systems) joined the organization of the event.
The event is open to everyone interested in the development of European studies in higher education institutions, and issues of regional policy and decentralization.
The venue of the simulation game is room 524 in the IV academic building of Lviv Polytechnic. Beginning at 10:15.
