Since the full-scale invasion of Ukraine by the Russian Federation, millions of our people became forced migrants in European countries. This research is the first step towards understanding the attitudes of Ukrainians who will return to their homeland after the war or stay in the countries of their residence. For this pilot project, a study was conducted among Ukrainians who flee to Poland and Spain.
At the presentation of the study «Value Orientations of Ukrainian Forced Migrants in Spain and Poland», the participants will have the opportunity to find out:
- how satisfied the respondents are with their life in the host country and what their motivation for improving their social position in society is;
- how the local population treat Ukrainian migrants and who migrants feel closer to: citizens of the host country or Ukrainians;
- what the general social values of Ukrainian forced migrants are;
- how much they trust the state and public institutions of the host country and their homeland, as well as international organizations and volunteer initiatives;
- to what extent Ukrainians share European values and associate themselves with Europeans, what the self-esteem of our people is in comparison with the bearers of the Western values, and how their own attitude to European integration has changed;
and to get answers to many other questions.
The invited guests at the event will be:
- Nataliia Kryvda, Head of the Ukrainian Cultural Foundation, Doctor of Philosophy, Professor at the Department of Ukrainian Philosophy and Culture at Taras Shevchenko National University of Kyiv;
