On the occasion of International Mother Language Day, the International Institute of Education, Culture and Diaspora Relations, Lviv Polytechnic National University, invites you to the presentation of a new textbook on Ukrainian as a foreign language for children aged 4–6, «My Friends» (ABCs).
What is My Friends?
- This is an interesting adventure in the world of the Ukrainian alphabet, songs, poems, fairy tales and cartoons, where every child will be able to discover the fascinating world of letters, sounds and new words.
- This is an opportunity to learn how to play new games, to solve interesting mazes and riddles.
- This is a great opportunity to discover something new and unknown about Ukraine, to get to know and love it more.
The participants of the presentation will have the opportunity to communicate with the authors’ team. The IECDR team will talk about the textbook from its idea to practical implementation, as well as about the specifics of working with texts and exercises.
My Friends in a special way expands the collection of textbooks written by IECDR, namely Catch Skovoroda, Stories from Lesia’s Life (to the 200th anniversary of Lesia Ukrainka), The Key to Ukraine: Cities and People and A Journey through Ukraine.
Educators, parents, teachers and everyone who wants to teach, develop and inspire children to learn the Ukrainian language in different parts of the world are welcomed to the meeting.
The presentation will take place on February 21, 2024 in Zachariewicz Hall (room 214), the main building of Lviv Polytechnic National University. The event starts at 15:00.
The format is hybrid. To participate remotely (online), you must register.
Participation is free of charge.
The project is implemented in accordance with the order of the head of the Regional Military Administration dated February 22, 2023 No. 78/0/5–23BA «On the approval of the Comprehensive program for strengthening the state-building and consolidation role of the Ukrainian language in the Lviv region for 2023–2026».
