Opening of the autumn term of the project «Norway – Ukraine. Professional adaptation. Integration into the state system»

Lviv Polytechnic National University opens the autumn term of the project “Retraining and Social Adaptation of Military Officers and Their Family Members in Ukraine” (project “Norway — Ukraine”) within the program “Project Management”. The grand opening takes place on September 14, 2020 in the House of Warriors on 1 Korolenka Street.

Project “Norway-Ukraine. Professional adaptation. Integration into the State System” is a continuation of the Ukraine-Norway project “Retraining and Social Adaptation of Military Officers and Their Family Members in Ukraine”, which was implemented at Lviv Polytechnic National University in 2014–2019. During this time, more than 430 retired officers and members of their families underwent professional retraining. The project participants received assistance in legal and socio-psychological adaptation, as well as in promoting employment and organizing their own business.

In Lviv, the project is implemented at Tech StartUp School, Lviv Polytechnic, with the involvement of the Department of Sociology and Social Work and the International “Integration” Center for Professional Partnerships, the Institute of the Humanities and Social Sciences, the Department of Administrative and Financial Management, the Department of Finance, the Institute of Economics and Management, in partnership with NORD University, Norway, the International Foundation for Social Adaptation, the public organization “New Society of Ukraine” with the financial support of the Government of the Kingdom of Norway and co-financing of the budget program KPKVK 1501040.

Servicepersons as well as representatives of the International Foundation for Social Adaptation, the Ministry for Veterans Affairs, Lviv Regional State Administration, Lviv City Hall and Lviv Polytechnic National University will attend the grand opening of the autumn term. Beginning at 5:30 p.m.
