The International Round Table «What is a just peace?» will take place on October 21, 2023. The event is organized by the Department of Public Policy and Governance, the Institute of Public Administration, Governance and Professional Development, and the Department of Philosophy, the Institute of the Humanities and Social Sciences, Lviv Polytechnic National University, in cooperation with the Philosophical and Political Academy, the Foundation for Critical Thinking and the University of Warmia and Mazury.
Russia’s full-scale invasion of Ukraine has revived discussions around the problem of war and peace on a global scale. The Round Table will deal with the conceptual issues related to the essence of peace, the possibility and conditions for establishing peace between warring countries or alliances of countries, punishing the aggressor, prospects for building long-term peaceful relations and preventing the emergence of new wars.
The Round Table will be held online. The working language is English. Beginning at 11:00.
