International Institute of Education, Culture and Diaspora Relations, Lviv Polytechnic National University, invites to the presentation of new books – « Bohdan Ihor Antonych – for children» and «Ihor Kalynets – for children», dedicated to the birthday of Ihor Kalynets, poet, political prisoner, laureate of the Shevchenko Prize, long-term employee of the IECDR. The books were published in a publishing house «Apriori» in the series which is dedicated to prominent Ukrainian poets of different eras.
At the festive meeting with Ihor Kalynets in the restored Assembly Hall of the main building of Lviv Polytechnic, participants will learn when the idea to create these books arose and how it was implemented, as well as what is special about the work of first-rate poets who write for children. Poetry by Ihor Kalynets and Bohdan Ihor Antonych will be read by schoolchildren, compiler of the book and the author himself.
Guests from Ukraine and abroad are invited to participate: teachers, librarians, literary critics, schoolchildren, everyone who is interested in fiction. Iryna Kliuchkovska, Director of IECDR, Yurii Nykolyshyn, Director of Apriori publishing house, Danylo Ilnytskyi, literary critic and co-editor of the book «Bohdan Ihor Antonych – for children», Oksana Halanyk, editor of the book «Bohdan Ihor Antonych – for children» and others will take part in the event.
