On May 18–19, 2023, the 8th Ukrainian-Polish Scientific Forum will be held as part of the implementation of the «EU Eastern Partnership Initiative: Opportunities for Ukraine» (EaP Initiative) with the support of the EU Erasmus+ program, Jean Monnet. The organizers of the event are the Institute of the Humanities and Social Sciences, Lviv Polytechnic National University (Ukraine) and the Institute of Political Science, the University of Warmia and Mazury in Olsztyn (Republic of Poland).
This year’s Forum, entitled «New agenda for Europe and the European Union: Causes – Directions – Priority Goals», aims to discuss promising formats of comprehensive European cooperation in the conditions of modern geopolitical challenges and full-scale Russian aggression. Scientific and pedagogical workers, representatives of state authorities and civil society, students, as well as anyone interested in European integration and Ukrainian-Polish relations are invited to participate.

- The influence of Russian aggression on the agenda of Europe and the European Union.
- Prospects for the development of EU’s Eastern Policy in the conditions of modern geopolitical challenges.
- New formats of European cooperation: from economy to security.
- The importance of CEE countries in shaping a new political and security order in Europe.
- The role of diplomacy in the settlement of the current security crisis.
- Ukrainian-Polish strategic cooperation in the face of modern geopolitical threats.
- The EU and European partners in support of Ukraine and its post-war recovery.
- European and Euro-Atlantic perspective of Ukraine in the context of the large-scale Russian invasion.
- Transformation of policy of the Eastern Partnership countries in time of the Russian-Ukrainian war.
The Forum will be held online. Participation in the event is free of charge. The deadline for participation is May 5, 2023.
