On November 23, 2023, the 1st Ukrainian-Polish Climate Forum on the topic «What can a person do to prevent climate change?» was held as part of the project implementation «EU Global Responsible Leadership: Climate Change, Environmental Protection and Humanitarian Aid» (EU_LEAD) with the support of the Erasmus+ programme, Jean Monnet direction.
At the Forum Stanislaw Czachorowski and Renata Augustyniak-Tunowska, Professors at the University of Warmia and Mazury in Olsztyn, the Republic of Poland, and Iryna Bilyk, the founder of the eco-brand «Bilka – Green thoughts in action», author of the book about trash «Kudy podity smittia» will share their knowledge on climate change prevention and environmental protection.
At the youth panel, research projects on the forum topic will be presented by students of the Lviv Academic Gymnasium, Ukraine, and the Complex of Schools with the Ukrainian Language of Study in Górowo Iławeckie, the Republic of Poland, in particular: Marta Chukhray, Andriy Briskin, Ihor Kharholiuk, Matviy Kozak, Ksenia Petyuk, Oleksandra Tasyn, Kateryna Parkhomenko, Roksana Predko, Ulyana Pushkar, Olga Zhabchyk (scientific supervisors – Mariana Dobrohorska, Lesia Kalymon, and Witold Kozubal).
The event was prepared by the EU_LEAD team – Professor Teresa Astramowicz-Leyk, Professor Yaryna Turchyn, Associate Professor Olha Ivasechko, Associate Professor Oleh Tsebenko and student Yuliia Vaida.
Everyone who is interested in the European Union, the European integration process of Ukraine and the EU policy on climate change prevention and environmental protection is invited to participate in the event.
