Conditions of Admission and Training

ABOUT THE DEPARTMENT

The Preparatory Department provides training of foreign citizens for further admission to technical, medical and economic higher education institutions of Ukraine based on Ukrainian or English language.

In addition to the language itself, students also study the following subjects: computer science, mathematics (technical and economic specialties), biology with the basics of anatomy (medical specialties), and others.

Persons who have successfully completed their studies at the Preparatory Department are issued the relevant nationally recognized certificates required for further education.

English-based with an English language course

The cost of dwelling in the dormitory is $60 per month (to be paid in hryvnias at the National Bank of Ukraine exchange rate).

All payments are made in hryvnia at the National Bank of Ukraine exchange rate on the day of payment.

Expenses for compulsory health insurance, registration of documents for temporary residence in Ukraine, etc. are paid separately.

 

PROCEDURE FOR ADMISSION

  1. To join the Preparatory Department, you must e-mail dfs@lpnu.ua the scanned copies of the following documents:
    • passport;
    • photography;
    • certificate on previous education;
    • аpplication form for admission (added below);
    • consent to the processing of personal data (added below);
  2. After considering these documents and after the university makes an affirmative decision on his/her admission; we sent the original invitation to study to the specified address. Based on this the consular institution of Ukraine abroad issued a visa for the study
  3.  After obtaining a study visa, a foreign citizen additionally sends scanned copies of the following documents to the e-mail address dfs@lpnu.ua:
    • visa;
    • translation into Ukrainian of the document on previous education certified by the seal of the Consulate of Ukraine in the country of visa issuance (we recommend that the translation be certified simultaneously with the visa application);
    • a signed contract with the university with the foreigner's personal data (address, phone number, etc.) filled in. The text of the contract is sent to the foreigner after obtaining a visa.  

      After being enrolled as a student of the Рreparatory department, a foreign citizen must arrive in Ukraine no later than one month before the visa expiration date.

      In case of failure to arrive at the university within the specified period, the foreigner is expelled from the number of students, and the university notifies the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine. 
  4. Foreign citizens who plan to study at the university on an inpatient basis (offline), arriving for study must have with them:
    • a complete set of documents on previous education (originals) with information on the assessment system, according to which the grades are presented. Prior education documents have been legalized under the law of the country in which they were issued (an apostille or by the consulate legalization);
    • medical certificate issued no later than three months before arrival in Ukraine;
    • birth certificate.
  5. A foreign citizen must inform the university in advance of the date of his/her arrival in Ukraine.

Documents of citizens of russia and belarus, as well as documents of citizens of other states issued in these countries, are not considered or accepted!
