ABOUT THE DEPARTMENT
The Preparatory Department provides training for foreign citizens for further admission to technical, medical, and economic higher education institutions in Ukraine based on Ukrainian or English language.
Students who successfully graduate from the Preparatory Department will be issued with the relevant nationally recognised certificates required for further university study.

ORDER OF INTRODUCTION
- To join the Preparatory Department, you must e-mail dfs@lpnu.ua the scanned copies of the following documents:
- passport;
- certificate on previous education;
- аpplication form for admission (added below);
- consent to the processing of personal data (added below).
2. A foreign citizen independently registers and creates a personal electronic cabinet on the website of the State Enterprise "Ukrainian State Center for International Education" of the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine at the link https://apply.studyinukraine.gov.ua/account/signup
3. After reviewing the submitted documents, the University forms an educational offer for the foreign citizen, which will be displayed in the applicant cabinet. Future students must either approve or reject it.
4. In case of a positive decision, information about the availability of the electronic invitation to study is sent to the foreign citizen's e-mail address, which is located in his or her cabinet and is the basis for obtaining a visa at the Consular Office of Ukraine.
5. A foreign citizen arriving to study at Lviv Polytechnic National University must have
- a complete set of documents on previous education (originals) with information on the grading system according to which grades are assigned. Documents on previous education must be legalised under the legislation of the country in which they were issued (apostille or consular legalisation);
- medical certificate issued no later than three months before arrival in Ukraine;
- birth certificate.
A foreign citizen must arrive at the University no later than one month before the visa expiration date.
6. A foreign citizen must notify the University in advance of the date of his/her arrival in Ukraine.
Full-time study in each group of foreign students begins after the group is formed, but no later than March.
The terms of individual study in the Special course on improving the Ukrainian language for those who know the Ukrainian language are set separately.
The cost of dwelling in the dormitory is $60 per month (to be paid in hryvnias at the National Bank of Ukraine exchange rate).
Expenses for compulsory health insurance, registration of documents for temporary residence in Ukraine, etc., are paid separately.
All payments are made in hryvnia at the National Bank of Ukraine exchange rate on the day of payment.
