A meeting of participants of the international consortium, partners of the project «Digital TuRn in EUrope: Strengthening relational reliance through Technology», TRUST, grant agreement 101007820, Horizon2020-MSCA-RISE, was held in the Ono College in Tel Aviv, Israel, from September 2 to 6, 2023. The consortium was established in 2020 to implement the TRUST Rise project during 2021–2025 and now consists of academic and non-academic partners from Belgium, Israel, Spain, Italy, China, Ukraine and France.
The consortium included such events as: a meeting of the supervisory board and the organizational committee regarding the reporting of the heads of the work programs of the legal, financial, economic and engineering areas, as well as the introduction of blockchain technologies in education, law and public administration, finance and economics (analysis of their implementation). A separate focus of the seminar «Financial Economy: Decentralization of Financial Markets and Introduction of Blockchain Technologies» concerned the development of cybersecurity forensics, trust in the crypto world, and the establishment and activity of crypto communities.
At the brokerage event «EU Innovation Programs: Open Opportunities», held at the European Institute of Innovation and Technology (Tel Aviv), the current challenges of innovation ecosystems, tools and mechanisms for overcoming them were discussed. The interdisciplinary round table «Blockchain technologies for smart cities» concerned the prerequisites for the introduction of blockchain technologies in finance, city self-government and knowledge management.
Lviv Polytechnic National University joined the consortium for the implementation of the TRUST Rise project as a Ukrainian academic partner from September 1, 2023. Iryna Sofinska, Doctor of Law, Professor at the Department of Theory of Law and Constitutionalism, the Institute of Jurisprudence, Psychology and Innovative Education, project manager from the University, presented Lviv Polytechnic and the main areas of its activities in the project (law, psychology, social communications, innovative education and public administration) at the meeting of the international consortium participants, academic and non-academic partners of the TRUST Rise project.
The participation of scientific and pedagogical staff of the University (in particular, postgraduate students of IJPS) in the TRUST Rise project during 2023–2025 involves ten internships (one month each) to carry out research provided by the project programs, joint publications with representatives of academic and non-academic project partners, as well as to participate in seminars, workshops, symposia and conferences organized by project partners, etc.
