The first such elevator was opened in the educational building No. 5. This is a nine-storey building built in 1972. It has three elevators, which have never been replaced since the construction of the building.
- Recently, the old elevators have started to break down, and thus had to be stopped, because there are no details for such a modification for a long time, - explains Volodymyr Pashkevych, chief engineer of the University.
It is important that the modern new elevator is adapted for people with disabilities to easily access it in a wheelchair, unlike the elevator of the old model. Also it is worth noting the modern equipment that controls the operation of the elevator.
Another elevator in the same building will be replaced this year, as many people work and study here.
In a few days a new elevator will be opened in the dormitory No. 11. The next step is to replace the elevators in the dormitories No. 14 and 15.
