The Erasmus+ grant (Jean Monnet module) «EU Competitiveness Boosting: Circular Economy» (CirclE) was opened at the Department of Foreign Trade and Customs, Lviv Polytechnic National University.
Together with students Olha Melnyk, the Head of FTC Department, and Oleh Kuzmin, the Director of IEM, discussed the causes of the global ecological crisis, the need for sustainable development and the feasibility of shifting business to the principles of circular economy.
It is justified that the implementation of the best business practices of the European Union will help Ukrainian business become more efficient in the long run.
The key objective of the CirclE project is to emphasize that shifting business to the principles of circular economy in the EU will also have an impact far beyond its borders: it may create actual global standards for product design, selection of materials for production, waste management, and provide the other regions of the world (including Ukraine) with the necessary action plan.
