Call for the Fulbright Foreign Language Teaching Assistant 2026–2027 program is now open

Applications are now being accepted for the Fulbright Foreign Language Teaching Assistant program for the academic year 2026–2027, a nine-month internship in teaching Ukrainian (assisting American teachers) at a US university/college.

The competition is open to beginning teachers and young professionals under the age of 30 who specialize in linguistics, Ukrainian literature, translation studies, communications, journalism, American studies and English language teaching. Applicants must have a master’s or bachelor’s degree at the time of the scholarship award (July 2026).

The FLTA Program is designed for energetic, mature, reliable and professional educators who are able to successfully perform the functions of both a teacher and an assistant, to easily get used to the student atmosphere, including accommodation in dormitories, and to be a part of the faculty and staff of the host institution.

The application deadline is 6 July 2025.
