Lviv Polytechnic National University invites IT students, teachers and representatives of Ukrainian IT companies to participate in the workshop on EU’s General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR): Impact for Ukrainian IT-sector, which is dedicated to the current trends in the field of personal data protection and the implementation of European standards in national practice.
The event will be held online on September 19, 2025. It starts at 10:00.
The goal of the workshop is to familiarize participants with the key provisions and requirements of the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), as well as demonstrate practical approaches to integrating personal data protection procedures into software architecture development processes at all stages of the IT product life cycle.
Anastasiia Doroshenko, Candidate of Technical Sciences, Associate Professor at the Department of Automated Control Systems, the Institute of Computer Science and Information Technologies, will talk about the basic principles of personal data processing.
The invited expert is Volodymyr Voityshyn, PhD, Software Architect at Eleks, who will share best practices in designing and developing software solutions in line with GDPR requirements and personal data protection principles.
Participants will have the opportunity to gain knowledge about modern European approaches to personal data protection and discuss the challenges and opportunities that open up for the Ukrainian IT sector in the context of digital transformation and European integration.
