Within the framework of the PROMENT project Tutoring and Mentoring Center, Lviv Polytechnic National University, invites students to a specialised training dedicated to the development of mentoring skills and the implementation of innovative educational approaches, which will take place on Friday, November 1, 2024.
The event is aimed at senior students who want to be leaders and develop their communication skills in the format of individual and group consultations.
The training will be based on the «learning by doing» approach. Particular attention will be paid to the development of the following competences:
- the desire for personal development and social change;
- the ability to motivate, support and inspire the mentees for development;
- the ability to build trusting relationships and communicate effectively with mentees;
- the ability to create an environment for self-reflection and setting development goals;
Programme of the event
- Introduction: meeting the participants and welcome speech.
- «Leadership as the basis of tutoring»: guest speaker – Iryna Andrushkiv, Associate Professor at the Department of Management of Organizations, the Institute of Economics and Management, and the Department of Project Management, the Institute of Public Administration, Governance and Professional Development, Smart Space project manager, founder of the NGO Future.in.ua, mentor.
- Part 1. Coaching: How to be a mentor and motivate students to succeed.
- A break time with sweets.
- Part 2. Challenge-Based Learning: a method of learning through solving real problems.
- Reflection: participants’ feedback, Q&A session and event results.
