The Department of Architecture and Сonservation, the Institute of Architecture and Design, Lviv Polytechnic National University, invites you to participate in the Scientific Conference «The Artistic Heritage of Johann Pfister: Intercultural Dialogue» to commemorate the 450th anniversary of the birth of the outstanding sculptor, which will be held on September 5, 2023 in the State Historical and Architectural Reserve in Berezhany (4 Virmenska St., Berezhany, Ternopil region). The event will be held in a mixed format – offline and online on the Zoom platform.
Thematic directions of the conference
- Johann Pfister and the formation of his unique talent.
- Berezhany in the work of Johann Pfister.
- The sculptor’s artistic heritage in Poland and Ukraine.
- The practice of preserving, restoring and popularizing the works of a famous sculptor.
- Sacral and memorial plastics: history and modernity.
- Sacred sights and tourism.
The working languages of the conference are Ukrainian and Polish.
A collection of materials will be published before the start of the conference.
