On 14–17 July 2025, Lviv Polytechnic National University will host a roundtable discussion The Role of Universities in the Post-War Reconstruction of the Hydropower Sector of Ukraine. The event will be held within the framework of the international grant project «The Role of Universities in the Post-War Reconstruction of the Hydropower Sector of Ukraine», implemented under the programme «Strengthening the Professional Capacity of Ukrainian State Universities in 2025» with the support of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Czech Republic.
The aim of the project is to expand and deepen the partnership between technical universities and hydropower companies in Ukraine and the Czech Technical University in Prague. Such cooperation will help to improve the skills of the teaching staff of the partner universities, intensify the exchange of the latest scientific knowledge and innovative technologies.
The event is organised by the Department of Hydraulic and Water Engineering, the Institute of Civil Engineering and Building Systems, Lviv Polytechnic. The event is held in a hybrid format both offline and online.

- Practical needs of the sector in terms of skills, knowledge and innovation;
- Key challenges in the context of war and post-war reconstruction;
- Challenges and opportunities for hydropower education;
- Ways of cooperation between academia and industry.
