Presentation of the exhibition «First. Women in Diplomacy: From Symbolic Figures to Modern Ambassadors» and a discussion panel

On 26 November, 2025, Lviv Polytechnic National University will host a presentation of the exhibition «First. Women in Diplomacy: From Symbolic Figures to Modern Ambassadors», as well as a discussion panel «Women in Diplomacy: Challenge or Mission?»

The event aims to draw attention to the history and modernity of female leadership in the diplomatic sphere, to create a platform for an open dialogue on the role of women in international relations, public and humanitarian diplomacy between representatives of the diplomatic corps, the scientific community, state authorities and civil society.

Format – mixed: online (for speakers) / offline.

The event will be attended by:

  • Nataliia Shakhovska – Rector of Lviv Polytechnic National University, Corresponding Member of the NAS of Ukraine, Doctor of Technical Sciences, Professor;
  • Andrii Hrushko – Representative of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine in Lviv;
  • Iryna Matiash – Head of the Scientific Society for the History of Diplomacy and International Relations, Doctor of Historical Sciences, Professor;
  • Tetiana Sybiha – Head of the Center for Public Diplomacy of the Hennadii Udovenko Diplomatic Academy under the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine, co-founder of the Platform «Spouses of Ukrainian Diplomats»;
  • Tetiana Izhevska – Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Ukraine to the Holy See in 2007–2020 2025, Deputy Head of the National Commission of Ukraine for UNESCO;
  • Hanna Tishchenko – Consul of the Consulate General in Istanbul;
  • Iryna Kliuchkovska – Director of the International Institute of Education, Culture and Diaspora Relations, Lviv Polytechnic National University;
  • Markiian Malskyi – Dean of the Faculty of International Relations, Ivan Franko National University of Lviv, Doctor of Law, Professor.

Venue – Lviv, 12 Stepana Bandery St., main building of Lviv Polytechnic National University, Julian Zachariewicz Hall (room 214). The event starts at 14:00.
