Online Summer Cyber School from the ICTA Department of Information Protection

The Department of Information Protection, the Institute of Computer Technologies, Automation and Metrology, is pleased to announce the enrolment for the Online Summer Cyber School aimed at students of technical specialities who want to gain practical skills in the areas of cloud computing, infrastructure automation, information security and machine learning.

The programme will start on 21 July 2025 and last until 1 September. The registration deadline is 21 July.

The training is grounded in modern approaches to building secure cloud systems and includes hands-on experience with real-life cases, laboratory work, and tools used by leading IT companies.

The course instructor is Andrii Partyka, Candidate of Technical Sciences, Associate Professor at the Department of Information Protection, Senior DevOps/SRE Engineer, certified specialist in AWS, Google Cloud and Kubernetes. His professional experience includes projects in the USA, UK, and Germany in the fields of finance, healthcare, and trade.

The School’s programme includes three main areas.

  1. Cloud Developing
    • Designing and deploying cloud applications and infrastructure with a focus on security best practices. The course includes practical laboratory exercises, real-life scenarios for implementing cloud services and protecting applications from common threats.

  2. Cloud Foundations
    • An overview of the basic principles of cloud computing, architecture, security models and key cloud infrastructure services. Particular attention is paid to the practices of building secure cloud environments and configuring access to resources.

  3. Machine Learning Foundations
    • Introduction to machine learning: building, training and deploying models to solve applied problems, taking into account the requirements of data security, model protection and data access control.

After registration, participants will have access to training materials, instructions, and communication channels with the instructor. The programme includes separate Q&A sessions designed to support a clearer understanding of challenging subjects.
