Modern Practices of Artistic Resistance: a cultural event at Lviv Polytechnic within the framework of the Chervona Ruta – 2025 festivalЧервона рута – 2025»

On September 16, 2025, a unique cultural event will be held within the framework of the Chervona Ruta – 2025 festival at Lviv Polytechnic National University. All Polytechnicians – students, teachers and employees are invited to join.

The guests of the event:

  • Mykhailo Skop, Doctor of Philosophy, Ukrainian artist, illustrator;
  • Marian Pyrih, Ukrainian artist, author of musical and visual projects, founder of the Pyrih and Batih (Carrot and Stick) project;
  • Andrii Yermolenko, Ukrainian artist, illustrator and designer, art director of the Ukrainian Week magazine, laureate of the Taras Shevchenko National Prize.

The event features:

  • meetings with famous contemporary Ukrainian artists accompanied by live music;
  • discussion of the role of art as a form of cultural resistance;
  • conversation with artists.

The venue of the event is the Assembly Hall of the 1st Academic Building (2/4 Starosolskykh St.). It starts at 4:00 PM.

In September Lviv hosts the 17th All-Ukrainian Festival of Contemporary Song and Popular Music «Chervona Ruta – 2025» in a strategic partnership with the Resistance Movement of the Special Operations Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. The festival will bring together thousands of Ukrainians in a shared act of cultural resistance, as Ukrainian culture has always been and will remain a powerful voice of defiance and a vital instrument in the struggle for national identity.
