Within the framework of the European Studies for Technical Specialties at Lviv Polytechnic National University (EUSTS) and with the support of the European Union’s Erasmus+ Jean Monnet Actions, an interactive event «Dissemination of best practices in teaching European studies and creation of interdisciplinary programs in higher education institutions of Ukraine: exchange of experience» will be held online on October 16, 2024. The event is organized by the team of the Educational and Research Center «European Studies for Technical Specialties at Lviv Polytechnic National University» and the faculty of Zaporizhzhia National University.
The speakers will share their experience and vision of implementing European studies and studying EU law and values:
- Professor Yaryna Turchyn, Doctor of Political Science (EUSTS Project Manager, Head of the Jean Monnet Chair in European Studies for Technical Specialties at Lviv Polytechnic National University, Director of the Institute of the Humanities and Social Sciences);
- Associate Professor Iryna Bondarenko, Candidate of Philological Sciences (EuroTolerCulture project coordinator, Dean of the Faculty of Philology, Zaporizhzhia National University),
- Associate Professor Nataliia Vovk, Candidate of Historical Sciences (EUSTS project participant, Department of Social Communication and Information Activities, Lviv Polytechnic National University);
- Professor Anna Selishcheva, Doctor of Economics (EuroSecret project coordinator, Department of International Economics, Natural Resources and Economics of International Tourism, Zaporizhzhia National University);
- Associate Professor Yulia Kurylova, Candidate of Philological Sciences (Department of Ukrainian Literature, Zaporizhzhia National University);
- Professor Svitlana Kushnir, Doctor of Economics (NEWAGRO Project Coordinator, Department of Finance, Banking, Insurance and Stock Market, Zaporizhzhia National University);
- Associate Professor Olena Lukachuk (Innovation Hub mentor, EUSTS project participant, Department of Political Science and International Relations, the Institute of the Humanities and Social Sciences, Lviv Polytechnic National University).
The practical part of the event with the use of interactive teaching methods to form knowledge about the EU as a responsible global actor in the modern system of international relations for students of Zaporizhzhia National University will be conducted by trainers in teaching methods, EUSTS project participants, Associate Professors of the Department of Political Science and International Relations Olha Ivasechko and Oleh Tsebenko. Associate Professors Oleksandr Markovets (Department of Social Communication and Information Activities, the Institute of the Humanities and Social Sciences), Lidiia Kasha (Department of Electromechatronics and Computerized Electromechanical Systems, the Institute of Power Engineering and Control Systems), and Iryna Sukhorolska (Department of Political Science and International Relations, Institute of the Humanities and Social Sciences) also joined the organization of the event.
