Within the framework of the project «European studies for technical specialties at Lviv Polytechnic National University» (EUSTS) and with the support of the EU Erasmus+ programme, Jean Monnet Actions, an interactive event «Dissemination of the best practices of teaching European studies and creation of interdisciplinary programs in higher education institutions in Ukraine: exchange of experience» will be held online on May 15, 2024.
The event is organized by the team of the Center «European Studies for Technical Specialties at Lviv Polytechnic National University» together with the faculty of Yaroslav Mudryi National Law University, Kharkiv. The following participants will share their experience and vision regarding the implementation of European studies and the study of EU law and values:
- Professor Yaryna Turchyn, Doctor of Political Science, (project manager of the EUSTS, head of the Jean Monnet Chair «European studies for technical specialties at Lviv Polytechnic National University», director of the Institute of the Humanities and Social Sciences);
- Professor Tetiana Komarova, Doctor of Juridical Science, (Jean Monnet Chair «In-depth Study of EU Law and Values: Ukrainian Context», Head of the Department of European Union Law, Yaroslav Mudryi National Law University);
- Associate Professor Nataliia Vovk, Candidate of Historical Sciences, (participant of the EUSTS project, Associate Professor at the Department of Social Communication and Information Activities, Lviv Polytechnic);
- Associate Professor Tetiana Anakina, Candidate of Juridical Science, (Associate Professor at the Department of European Union Law, Yaroslav Mudryi National Law University, team member of the Jean Monnet Chair «In-depth study of EU law and values: Ukrainian context», invited lecturer at Complutense University of Madrid);
- Associate Professor Olena Lukachuk, Candidate of Historical Sciences, (Innovation Hub mentor, EUSTS project participant, Associate Professor at the Department of Political Science and International Relations, Lviv Polytechnic).
The practical part of the event with the use of interactive learning methods for the formation of knowledge about the EU as a global actor of the modern system of international relations for students of Yaroslav Mudryi National Law University, Kharkiv, will be conducted by teaching methods trainers, participants of the EUSTS project – Associate Professors Olha Ivasechko and Oleh Tsebenko (Department of Political Science and International Relations). Associate Professor Oleksandr Markovets (Department of Social Communication and Information Activities), Associate Professor Lidia Kasha (Department of Electromechatronics and Computerized Electromechanical Systems), and Associate Professor Iryna Sukhorolska (Department of Political Science and International Relations) also joined the organization of the event.
