January 28 marks the Data Protection Day. On this occasion, Lviv Polytechnic National University, with the support of the European Union and within the framework of the international project «Personal Data Protection in the EU» (DataProEU) under the Jean Monnet Chair, organizes a conference for CEOs, CIOs, CCOs, DPOs, security officers, risk managers, HR managers, business analysts and lawyers, IT employees, insurance and telecommunications companies, students and postgraduates on January 28, 2025.
The main objective of the event is to discuss the situation with the implementation of the GDPR in Ukraine, in particular, to identify problems and share existing experience, discuss examples of successful implementation of the GDPR in business processes and determine further prospects for personal data protection in Ukraine.
Event objectives
- To promote European principles of working with personal data in Ukraine.
- To organize an exchange of practical experience in implementing the GDPR between companies from different countries and different sectors of the economy.
- To identify the specifics of GDPR compliance of IT companies when developing Big Data solutions and tasks of intellectual analysis of user data.
- To identify the peculiarities of GDPR compliance of IT companies when employees work remotely.
- To identify the peculiarities of protecting children’s personal data on the Internet.
- To provide consulting assistance to companies working with EU clients to protect their business from fines and reputational risks.
Due to security requirements, the conference will be held online on the Microsoft Teams platform.
Participation in the conference is free of charge, but pre-registration is required.
