The 8th International Scientific and Practical Conference on the Problems of formation and implementation of competition policy will be held at Lviv Polytechnic National University on November 23–24, 2023.
The purpose of the scientific meeting is to integrate the environment of science, public administration and business, to disseminate the results of scientific research dedicated to the issues of the formation and development of a competitive environment, and to outline new directions for interdisciplinary research in this area.
The conference will be held both online and offline.
Thematic directions of the conference:
- formation and implementation of competition policy in the war and post-war period;
- the development of competition in commodity markets in accordance with the post-war recovery strategy of Ukraine;
- mechanisms for reducing corruption risks and strengthening the institutional capacity of the control and supervisory body in the field of competition;
- public-private partnership – essence, prospects for development, socio-economic consequences of implementation;
- theoretical and applied aspects of providing state aid;
- reforming of state and communal enterprises and development of competition in the relevant product markets;
- compliance with competitiveness in the field of public procurement and tender procedures;
- protection against distortion of competition due to the actions of authorities, administrative and economic management, control bodies, and local self-government bodies;
- national security in the war and post-war period;
- social aspects of employment and competitiveness in commodity markets in the context of state and regional development;
- market analytics as a prerequisite for decision-making by public bodies, formation of the national, regional and local economy.
The guest of honour at the conference is Russell Pittman, Director of Economic Research, Antitrust Division, U.S. Department of Justice, a teacher at the Kyiv School of Economics KSE and a specialist in the field of antimonopoly management with many years of experience.
