The Department of Sociology and Social Work, the Institute of the Humanities and Social Sciences, Lviv Polytechnic, invites you to participate in the 13th Scientific Conference with international participation «Sociology – social work and social security – regulation of social problems», which will be held online on May 18–19, 2023.
The task of the conference is to discuss the current social problems of the countries of Central and Eastern Europe, in particular the social dimensions of the consequences of Russian aggression against Ukraine, the place and role of sociology and social work in overcoming these consequences; increasing the interest of young researchers in active scientific activity in the field of sociology, social work and social security; promoting the formation of scientific and academic relations between leading educational and research institutions of the socio-humanitarian profile of Ukraine and foreign countries.
The work of the conference will take place in the following directions:
- Russian aggression against Ukraine as a civilizational challenge: reactions of society in the countries of Central and Eastern Europe;
- The impact of Russian aggression on socio-cultural and socio-structural changes in Ukrainian society;
- Information support, media formats and PR technologies in social policy;
- The problems of youth self-realization in a risk society;
- Education system in the conditions of extreme social situations;
- The sociocultural dimensions of physicality: traditions and modernity;
- Adaptation of the Ukrainian social policy to the standards of the European Union;
- State and public social services: peculiarities of work and their interaction;
- Management of social services in conditions of war;
- Social work with families in the conditions of the Russian-Ukrainian war: challenges and risks;
- Forced migrants in Ukraine and the countries of Central and Eastern Europe: social problems, everyday practices, plans for the future;
- Social determinants of the health of the population, communities, families, and individuals during the COVID-19 pandemic;
- Health-preserving activities of a social worker in peaceful conditions and during war;
- Social inclusion and exclusion in modern conditions: factors, indicators, perspectives;
- Inclusive education and social inclusion;
- Socio-psychological problems and social well-being of Ukrainians;
- Modern practices of social work in conditions of a pandemic and other globalization challenges;
- Strategic development of social sphere institutions;
- Personnel management in institutions of the social sphere.

Applications for participation in the conference and theses of reports are accepted until April 30, 2023.
