Title: Best Practice Transfer: Digital Technologies in Precision Agriculture from V4 Countries to Ukraine

Focus area/objective: Education and Capacity Building,  Strengthening professional networks of educational institutions and supporting mobility of students, researchers, and educators to share best practices

Project coordinator: Deputy Director of Institute of Geodesy, PhD Ivan Brusak

The project aims to assess and improve the advancement of Digital Technologies in Precision Agriculture in V4 countries and share best practices with Ukraine. Activities will strengthen educational networks, enhancing digital precision agriculture education and capacity building in the field of efficient and smart farming in the V4 region.
To address the gap in modern precision agriculture education and build stronger regional cooperation, the project focuses on sharing best practices, enhancing academic mobility, and developing a network of institutions across the V4 region and Ukraine. Through targeted activities, the project will enable direct knowledge transfer in digital agriculture technologies, such as GNSS, GIS, UAVs, and remote sensing. Key actions include a coordination meeting in Krakow to develop a unified methodology for data collection and analysis, joint scientific research with peer-reviewed publication, and participation in international and regional conferences to share findings. A workshop in Hungary with study visits will provide hands-on exposure to smart farming technologies for students and educators. Two articles and conferences will share the results to scientific community. These steps will collectively raise the academic level, harmonize educational standards, and foster long-term collaboration between V4 and Ukrainian institutions in the field of precision agriculture.
