Project Acronym: AGRI-BIOCIRCULAR-HUB
Action Type: Widening participation and spreading excellence
Granting Body: European Research Executive Agency (REA)

Duration: 48 months
Project Budget: €5,995,825.00

The AGRI-BIOCIRCULAR-HUB project aims to create a network of excellence centers in the field of bioeconomy for the agricultural sector. Its goal is to bring together and unlock the potential of four regional innovation ecosystems in three EU accession countries (Poland, Latvia, and Ukraine), including a new ecosystem in the Lviv region (Ukraine), with support from a leading region in this field—Catalonia (Spain). By uniting academic institutions, businesses, governments, and civil society, the project seeks to overcome common challenges and seize opportunities for green transformation in the agri-food sector, while aligning new ecosystems, such as in Ukraine, with EU ambitions and environmental standards. AGRI-BIOCIRCULAR-HUB seeks to unlock the potential of these regions in the transition to bioeconomy and agriculture that can combine the need for efficiency and productivity with the simultaneous preservation of the environment, biodiversity, and natural resources.
