On November 15, 2023, within the framework of the project “European Studies for Technical Specialties at the National University ‘Lviv Polytechnic’” (EUSTS), supported by the Erasmus+ Jean Monnet program, Lviv Polytechnic hosted a workshop titled “Boost Your Digitalization.” This interactive event helped participants develop practical digital skills and gain knowledge to enhance both their professional and personal experience in the digital world.
During the workshop, speaker Oleksandr Markovets, Head of the Department of Social Communications and Information Activity at the Institute of the Humanities and Social Sciences, shared insights on tools for protecting personal data on social networks in accordance with key principles of the EU’s General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). He also offered practical tips on using digital technologies for:
- Understanding the digital environment: introducing participants to the basics of the digital world and the importance of digital literacy
- Mastering essential tools: hands-on training in using various digital tools and resources for efficient work and personal growth
- Fostering digital transformational thinking: developing analytical skills and embracing innovation in a digital context
- Creating a personal digital development strategy: helping participants plan for continuous improvement of their digital skills and adaptability, including personal brand presentation in social media
Participants also learned the fundamentals of information security and discussed potential digitalization risks. A total of 30 people joined the workshop, not only from Lviv Polytechnic, but also from Kyiv, Ternopil, Ivano-Frankivsk, and Zolochiv.
