Polytechnicians discuss cooperation with representatives of the German-Ukrainian Chamber of Industry and Commerce

According to the Letter of Intent signed by representatives of Lviv Polytechnic National University (Directors: Professor Mykola Mykyichuk, the Institute of Computer Technologies, Automation and Metrology, and Professor Volodymyr Skorokhoda, the Institute of Chemistry and Chemical Technologies) and Rauschert Heinersdorf-Pressig Gmb, Pressig, Germany (President Dr. Richard Metzler), Mr. Vitalii Horelyk, Director of Rauschert-related firm Spectroanalytics, Lviv, organized a meeting of signatories with a delegation of the German-Ukrainian Chamber of Industry and Commerce (AHK Kyiv) led by Mr. Alexander Markus.

The following people took part in the discussion on establishing effective cooperation with the AHK Kyiv Association:

  • from Rauschert: Dr. Richard Metzler – President, Mr. Michael Müller – Chief Technologist and Mr. Rainer Rombach – Chief Economist, as well as Svitlana Blonska, CFO of Spectrographics;
  • from AHK Kyiv: Mr. Alexander Markus – Head of the Association and Mz. Nataliia Starodub – Candidate of Economic Sciences, Head of the Department of Educational Projects, Member of the Council for the Development of Vocational Education of the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine.

Lviv Polytechnic National University was represented at the meeting by Professor Mykola Mykyichuk, Professor Orest Ivakhiv, Associate Professor Roman Velhan and, on behalf of Professor Volodymyr Skorokhoda, Professor Yaroslav Vakhula from the Institute of Chemistry and Chemical Technologies.

Alexander Markus assured of full support for the joint activities of the signatories, shared his experience of implementing the achievements of Germany in the field of dual education in Ukraine.

Professors Mykola Mykyichuk and Orest Ivakhiv reported on the activities of Lviv Polytechnic National University in this direction, and Dr. Richard Metzler expressed readiness to provide practical training for students of dual education at the company’s production sites and assist in establishing a dual education training center at Lviv Polytechnic.

The parties agreed to continue the relevant consultations and to make efforts to develop an educational program adapted to dual education.
