The Fulbright Visiting Scholar Program for 2023-2024

Fulbright Visiting Scholar Program offers research opportunities at U.S. universities, research centers, libraries, museums, and U.S. archives for a period from 3 to 9 months.

The competition is open to:

  • teachers and researchers of scientific societies, educational and research institutions of the highest level (universities, institutes and academies), who at the time of application submission have the degree of Candidate of Science or Doctor of Philosophy / Doctor of Arts, Doctor of Science;
  • researchers without a scientific degree with a full higher education (specialist, master), with experience of research work of at least seven years and scientific authority in the relevant field of knowledge, with available publications (articles, monographs or sections in monographs) in Ukrainian and / or foreign (international) scientific professional publications;
  • cultural and artistic activists, specialists in library and museum sciences, journalists and public activists - with a full higher education (specialist, master), experience of research work of at least seven years, significant professional achievements, scientific achievements in the chosen field of research (articles, monographs or sections in monographs) in Ukrainian and / or foreign (international) professional scientific publications.

The deadline for submitting documents is October 15, 2022.

Ukrainian citizenship and residence in Ukraine at the time of the competition remains one of the important conditions for participation in the Program. However, due to the fact that many potential candidates are not currently in Ukraine, the Fulbright Program Office in 2022 will accept documents from contestants who are in Ukraine, as well as those citizens of Ukraine who were forced to leave the country after February 24 due to the war.
