On 9 May 2024, on the occasion of Europe Day, the team of the EU's Global Responsible Leadership for Climate Change, Environment and Humanitarian Aid (EU_LEAD) project, with the support of the Jean Monnet ERASMUS+ Facility, held an offline event, the YOUR EUROPEAN FUTURE YOUTH AMBASSADOR'S SUMMIT, at America House.

The event was welcomed by the EU_LEAD Project Coordinator, Doctor of Political Science, Professor Yaryna Turchyn, who drew the participants' attention to the historical aspects of European integration and the agenda of Ukraine-EU relations.

The key guest speakers of the event were Moritz Clauder, Coordinator of the EU-UA Dialogue Initiative, Ambassador of European Youth from the Federal Republic of Germany, who spoke about the peculiarities of the European experience of youth policy. It was nice that the speaker began his speech in Ukrainian and expressed unconditional support for Ukraine in the fight against the Russian aggressor and in our country's European integration aspirations.

I was also positively impressed by the speech of the speaker, Maryam Ketsiaba, a member of the Bord in Georgia, European Youth Ambassador, who focused on opportunities for young people in Georgia and spoke about similar experiences in the European Union.

The interactive part of the event was particularly interesting, as the European Youth Ambassadors in Ukraine, Yulia Vaida and Anastasia Odnovolyk, spoke about EU Youth Opportunities, the specifics of project implementation under the programme, and shared their experiences, while Daria Buriy, who played an interactive Kahoot game on the topic "What do you know about the European Youth Policy?". At the end of the game, the winners will be announced and valuable prizes will be awarded.

Oleg Tsebenko, Moderator of the YOUR EUROPEAN FUTURE YOUTH AMBASSADOR'S SUMMIT, EU_LEAD team member, held a Youth Model of the Eastern Partnership Summit with students, namely a summit meeting of the EU delegation and the Eastern Partnership member states on the topic "Strengthening the security dimension of the Eastern Partnership in the context of the Russian-Ukrainian war". The summit resulted in the signing of a final resolution by the EaP delegations.

The event was attended by 78 students, not only international students, but also young people studying technical specialities. Students asked questions, actively participated in interactive sessions, and expressed their opinions.

The team of the EU's Global Responsible Leadership for Climate Change, Environment and Humanitarian Aid (EU_LEAD) project would like to thank all the participants and continues to prepare other equally interesting events.

More information about the project is available on the website.
