Science Festivities in Lviv Polytechnic to begin with Latvia Days in Ukraine

The opening of photography exhibitions and a discussion, in which Juris Poikāns, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Latvia in Ukraine, and Gvido Princis, Chief Architect of Riga, are to participate, will be held on April 20, 2017, within the framework of Science Festivities (a festival of science and intellect) in Lviv Polytechnic National University.

Two photography exhibitions – «State construction. Latvian architecture of 9th – 21st centuries» and «The style of Modern in architecture: Riga and Latvia» – will be opened on April 20, 2017, near the Assembly Hall in the main building of the University. Beginning – 12 o’clock.

Juris Poikāns, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Latvia in Ukraine, will have a discussion with students on the topic of «Latvia-Ukraine. European Union: common challenges and prospects for co-operation». Gvido Princis, Chief Architect of Riga, will have a meeting with those willing to discuss the architecture of Riga and Lviv, its modern condition, style and history.

We would like to remind you that Science Festivities in Lviv Polytechnic will be held on April 22, beginning at 10:00 am in the area near the University main building. More than 30 events, which are aimed at showing the achievements of modern Ukrainian science and engaging the community, young people in particular, in intellectual development, will be presented there.
