Opportunities, opportunities and more opportunities! This is the reason why the Tech StartUp School of Lviv Polytechnic National University launched a truly unique Startup Breakthrough competition for those who have ideas and even know how to implement them, but who need support.

The opening of the competition, which has several stages, took place on September 27 in Lviv Polytechnic. A lot of young people came to listen to well-known businessmen who managed to conquer the business market not only in Ukraine, but to succeed abroad as well.

On behalf of the rector, Nataliia Chukhrai, Vice Rector for Scientific Research of University, welcomed everybody with the start of the StartUp Breakthrough competition.

Oleksii Skrypnyk, Ukrainian politician, entrepreneur, scientist and public activist, co-founder of Eleks, Chairman of the Organizing Committee of StartUp Breakthrough, said:

What is important to remember when thinking of your startup: at least twenty people in the world have the same idea as you have. But only those who can implement it succeed. And only those who aspire to be successful will do it.

Among the guests of the event there was Deputy Mayor of Lviv for Development Issues Andrii Moskalenko. His main message for youth: stubbornness and perseverance are the keys to success.

Andrii Dziuban, the founder of Caramel Workshop, Tante Sophie restaurant and Dublin pub, gave a lot of useful tips for those who are on the way from idea to startup.

Rostyslav Vovk, the head of Kormotech Company, advised to be ready that it will not be easy. But the focus and willingness to reach the goal are the only things that really matter.

Nazar Bilous, Managing Director and co-founder of LaMetric and Lemberg Solutions companies, also shared his success story.

After motivational greetings, a discussion began. And if, as a rule, at similar meetings students are rather silent, here they asked a lot of questions. Businessmen shared stories of their own mistakes, which cost them more than one hundred thousand dollars or even several million.
