The European Excellence Initiative invites you to take part in the competition « Strengthening capacity for excellence in higher education institutions and surrounding ecosystems».
Under the initiative, Horizon Europe support aims to mobilize local and regional government investment in the higher education sector through:
- development of joint research and innovation strategies and roadmaps;
- allocation of capacity and resources through joint activities that prepare the network to create an alliance of universities in order to increase the attractiveness of researchers’ careers;
- cooperation with surrounding ecosystems to transfer knowledge and skills;
- transition to universities focused on knowledge and digital technologies, development of open sciences;
- creation or strengthening of technology transfer services and cooperation platforms;
- involvement of citizens in solving social problems;
- supporting institutional change through inclusive gender equality plans.
Proposals must be aimed at the higher education sector: universities of all types, research organizations, academies of sciences, polytechnic universities, universities of applied sciences and specialized public laboratories.
The budget is 30 million euros. Deadline – November 4, 2021.
