Pursuant to Order No. 126–1-10 of March 12, 2020 to prevent spreading acute respiratory illnesses caused by coronavirus, to implement the Decree No. 211 of March 11, 2020 by the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine and the letter of the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine No. 1/9 –154 from March 11, 2020, Lviv Polytechnic National University is under quarantine from March 12, 2020 to April 3, 2020.
During the quarantine period, mass events, including education, science, social, sports, arts and entertaining ones, are canceled in all academic buildings and on the territory of the University.
During the quarantine period students are forbidden to attend higher education institution.
The educational process at the University will be implemented in a form of distance learning , using technologies for:
- interactive group and individual consultations;
- video lectures (video presentations) with individual or group counseling;
- webinars for discussing eucational material via BigBlueButton, Skype, forum, chat, feedback, tasks, polls, testing and seminar in virtual learning environment of Lviv Polytechnic.
Directors of the Institutes and Colleges as well as Heads of the Departments must ensure the work of academic staff and other University personnel within the approved work schedules.
Academic staff of the Departments must check how students learn the lecture material in accordance with the programs of academic disciplines for the specified period with the help of Lviv Polytechnic virtual learning environment.
Lviv Polytechnic is forbidden to meet delegations and individuals from high-risk countries (https://www.cdc.gov/coronavirus/2019-ncov/travelers/index.html).
It is forbidden to direct students and University staff to high risk countries (https://www.cdc.gov/coronavirus/2019-ncov/travelers/index.html).
Business trips for University students and employees are restricted within Ukraine.
Reading rooms of the Scientific and Technical Library and sports sections of the University are closed.
Students and University staff are required to inform the Heads of Structural Units whether they have any symptoms characteristic of coronavirus disease.
Heads of Structural Units must implement security measures to prevent the spreading of coronavirus infection in the University.
