The results of the NATO SPS MYP G4687 project «New Phytotechnology for Cleaning Contaminated Military Sites», which involved researchers from the Department of Physical, Analytical and General Chemistry, Lviv Polytechnic National University, have been summed up.

Altogether 32 persons took part in the meeting, which was held online. In addition to researchers from the international project team, Richard Brewin, Program Manager at NATO Science for Peace and Security and Loredana Enachescu, Project Coordinator at NATO, as well as potential consumers from Ukraine and the United States attended the event.

A collective monograph «Phytotechnology with Biomass Production: Sustainable Management of Contaminated Sites» will be published by Francis & Taylor Group.

Young researchers from the Department of Physical, Analytical and General Chemistry Vitalii Stadnyk and Martyn Sozanskyi presented reports on their research within the project and personal professional development.

There were discussed prospects for future cooperation, including further research on the production of biomass from energy crops and industrial products to reduce the effects of climate change.
